Is a cheap VA good value?
If you’re looking to hire a Virtual Assistant, you’ve probably noticed that their rates vary quite a bit. The question is: why does this happen? Is there really such a big difference between one VA and another? Or is it just that some VAs charge more because they can?
In fact, the truth is somewhere in between. There are some VAs who charge more because they have other skills or experience that make them worth it—but there are also plenty of VAs who charge less because they don’t have those skills or experience, and so they can’t command higher rates.
So how do you know which one to hire? Here are some questions to ask yourself before making your decision:
-What kind of work will they be doing on behalf of my business?
-Do they have any special skills or expertise that would help them perform this work better than someone else?
-Have they spent years investing in their own professional development so have a well-rounded knowledge that might be useful in other areas of your business too?
It’s important to consider these questions and what is best for your business before dismissing a Virtual Assistant based on cost. In time they might bring even more value to your business and become an integral member of you team who is an invaluable resource you can’t afford NOT to pay.
