Should I bother blogging?
Blogging can take up such a lot of time each week and it can often be hard thinking about what to write, so is it really worth it?
The short answer is YES! I whole heartedly believe that it’s worthwhile taking the time to blog regularly and here’s why.
It’s a chance to put your personality out there
People buy from people and through regular blogging you are giving people an opportunity to get to know you. Nurturing this relationship builds that ‘know, like and trust’ factor. When someone knows, likes and trusts you they are more likely to make that all important purchase from you.
It’s a way to tell your story
So often we get caught up in the product or service we are selling that we forget to tell the story behind that product or service. Blogging allows you the opportunity to tell all sorts of stories; you might have a great origin story or have a story about how on a team building away day you came up with a great idea for a new product. These stories are the thinking that your reader will remember and can identify with. Stories are a great way of connecting with your audience.
It promotes your skills or products
Blogging is your opportunity to go into more detail about your skills or products. No one expects a blog to be the same as a 20 second advert so you have more opportunity to go into further detail and explain how the product or service can really add value to your audience.
Blogging is a great way to connect and share yourself with the world. Make time to nurture your blog and add value to your audience – it’s also great for repurposing into social media content so it’ll save you time there.
